Battlefield Legacy Weekend, EA damned to hell.
As some of you may have heard/noticed, EA organising a Legacy Weekend, asking players of Battlefield 2142 to join them in the fun.
Deadlassst The fact that it is only $10 actually adds more strength to the argument that they should have just put it up for free this weekend only. How much money were they currently making off of it? $0.
The overal feeling by members on Battlelog, the EA DICE social network and game stats site, is that EA should go to hell or let people download the 2008 game for free. Some members also mentioned that because Origin (EA's online gaming portal) and EA require an account to access the game, and some haven't accessed their accounts since the original release, owners of the title cannot access the game.
CappoUK I played BF2142 as a kid, and I loved it. I now can't re-play due to the one account rule. I have the box on my desk right next to me. If EA stopped you needing to pay for every account, I'd join in.
Those looking to purchase the game, or repurchasing it as the case may be, can pay £9.99 for the Deluxe edition through Origin. That's not a lot, but the general feeling is that if EA want to throw gamers a party, don't make them pay for the food.
